About The Role

We are looking for our next extraordinary Data Analyst I to level up our Enterprise Information Management Team in Costa Mesa! 

The Data Analyst I is a junior role on the BI and Data Science team that is responsible for the delivery of performance data analysis, reporting and visualization of key business processes, and performance indicators. This role provides a broad range of reporting and analyses with the expectation that they will leverage deep technical skills in the curation of data without the deep subject matter expertise in a subject area.

Your Usual Day Of Awesomeness Includes

• Work with business stakeholders and data architects to enable analytical requirements through the extraction of data from both the Business Intelligence Semantic layer and source systems.
• Develop and present complex business data in easily consumed reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Perform one-off or ad-hoc analysis of complex business processes.
• Contribute metadata to the Business Data Catalog.
• Participate in data collection for Data Science modeling efforts.
• Assist teams in other departments with SQL related questions.

 

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years in a reporting and data analysis position.
• 2+ years working with relational database systems.
• 1+ years working with non-relational database systems.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced-level understanding of data extraction tools and techniques.
• Advanced SQL query development skills.
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Ability to work through a problem logically, identify root causes, provide practical effective solutions while being detail and process oriented.
• A self-starter who can work without continuous supervision and is highly organized.
• Programming experience and a demonstrated interest in statistical analysis, informatics, analytics, or business intelligence preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one interaction, meeting/group.
• Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Looker and Tableau greatly preferred.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python & R preferred.
• Wireless Telecommunications experience greatly preferred.
