EZLynx, a division of Applied Systems, is searching for an Data Analyst Intern for the fall 2021 semester, working with a team of analysts and developers to create actionable reports for insurance agents and companies across the nation. In this role you will gain experience in building reports and dashboards using a top reporting tool, analyzing large data sets and even assisting with the integration of a revolutionary reporting application!
Learning Opportunities
In this internship you will have the opportunity to learn or be exposed to
- Work with Power BI and SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) to build new reporting functionalities and data visualizations
- Write queries in SQL Server Management Studio to extract and analyze large datasets
- Partners with the analytics and reporting team in active projects
- Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Analyze large sets of data to determine trends within the insurance industry
- Work with Project/Product Managers to determine key product metrics to transform metrics into actionable and informative reports
Here’s What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a curriculum focused on Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or Information Systems
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel formulas and pivot tables
- Good knowledge in the following areas Data visualization techniques, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL including statements and joins
- Ability to create workflow diagrams, entity relationships and database schemas
