The Financial Systems/Data Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for implementing process automation and developing solutions to create data intelligence. You will be part of a small team that acts as internal consultants to our Finance organization as well as to our Commercial and Operational partners to understand their needs, propose solutions, and design/support tool & process implementation. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Mental agility, ambition, and programming skills are highly coveted traits that will compensate for a lack of prior work experience. Team members are currently based in Brea, CA and Geneva, Switzerland. Although this role will ideally be based in Brea, given our recent successes in working remotely during the pandemic, flexible/remote working options may be considered (with eventual relocation still a goal). The role will report directly to the Senior Manager – Global Financial Analytics & Reporting (based in Geneva) but will be trained and supervised by our lead Senior Financial Systems/Data Analyst (based in Orange County).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilize your skills in SQL and Python
  • Implement Power BI tools and modeling
  • Support system enhancements for financial planning and reporting

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • Demonstrate skills in SQL
  • Visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or Quicksight as examples)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of equivalent experience, or Master’s degree with 0-2 years experience. Degree concentrations in Computer Science (or related fields) and/or Finance/Accounting/Economics (or related fields)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrate skills in Python
  • Experience using SSIS in a business or research environment
  • If your degree is in Computer Science (or related field), then additional coursework in Finance/Accounting
