Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Digital Marketing intern who will assist with and learn about Sony Corporation of America’s brand marketing process, from content ideation to media and channel planning through to measurement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the digital and social space, a passion for entertainment, along with a creative and performance driven mindset.

 

For the duration of the internship, the intern will own a project to showcase how Sony can better resonate with Gen Z in the U.S. The project will encompass all aspects of digital brand marketing inclusive of creative, and digital media. The intern will also provide day-to-day support for the Digital Marketing team, which will inform their final project.

 

Responsibilities

Maintenance – Assist with day-to-day account maintenance tasks inclusive of creative material distribution and billing. Capture and distribute meeting recap notes to internal team members, summarizing all deliverables and next steps. Monitor timing of deliverables to ensure POC’s are on track.

Activation – Maintain and review creative delivery documentation to ensure proper ad set-up in relation to the approved media plan. Maintain flowcharts and media plans to guarantee they are up to date after changes are made. Ensure proper legal documentation is signed and delivered to the agency prior to launch.

Reporting – Monitor weekly pacing reports from agencies to ensure campaigns are delivering in full and communicating when issues arise. Use learnings drawn from data to effectively make optimization recommendations during flight or for future.

Research & Present – Analyze “best-in class” digital marketing from competitors to inform project. Present findings on how Sony can better target Gen Z using both internal knowledge of the brand, as well as competitive.

Other tasks might include: Organic planning/publishing and copy creation

 

Qualifications

At least a Junior (based on accumulated credits) at a College/University

Graduate level students will be considered for this opportunity

Major in Marketing, Communications or Business Management preferred

Previous relevant experience is preferred in Digital Media

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
