Facebook is seeking a highly quantitative and data driven Summer Analyst for our 2021 intern program. This position may span a wide range of operational and analytical responsibilities. These include market research, forecasting and analysis for our revenue and business trends, and financial planning and analysis across our business operations. The role is highly cross-functional, involving coordination across a number of groups within Facebook, including finance, sales, marketing, product, data analytics, and business intelligence. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the internet/tech and media ecosystem, exceptional analytical skills, bias toward action, exceptional partnering and communication skills, and the know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
Responsibilities
Analyze current business performance and handle ad-hoc requests from business partners, including trends and growth factors
Analyze large datasets, interpret trends, and identify actionable insights and opportunities.
Own various financial and other types of reporting
Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts
Work cross-functionally with other business groups and demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes and decisions
Help business partners gain key insights into spend with meaningful analyses
Support headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
Build thoughtful resource allocation analyses to drive better investment decisions
Drive process improvements by partnering with up-stream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to financial management
Minimum Qualification
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
Experienced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
High attention to detail is a must
Able to synthesize strategic insights and problem-solve individually or in a group setting understanding key financial drivers of the business
Able to shift priorities quickly while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
Passionate about Facebook
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualification
Intent to return to full-time degree program after completion of the internship
