About the Team:
Global Business Line Management & Marketing team at Westlock Controls is at the forefront of directing vision for the organization. We manage a complex product portfolio that solves some of the toughest industrial valve automation problems. We regularly deal with over a million distinct part numbers. As an intern, you will gain a deep understanding of high- mix, low-volume business and related challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of an automated tool that collects and organizes data from several platforms in real time
- Own the product and create a long-term vision for it
- Create dashboards and reports that assist in gathering insights and driving data-backed decisions
- Analyze complex data sets to identify product trends
- Work closely with multiple Inside Sales teams located globally
- Bring new ideas to the table, and suggest out-of-the box ways to gather and analyze data
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Resourcefulness
- Not afraid to be curious and ask questions
- Strong reporting and data visualization experience with Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, IBM Cognos or other
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Inside/Outside Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Working towards a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or Data Science. Other candidates with strong relevant work experience and track record are encouraged to apply
