About Us

Sanjay Bharti MD PLLC is a privately-owned hospitalist group, headquartered in Morgantown, West Virginia. Our group provides inpatient services for hospitalized, acute care patients including critical care. Our group provides expert care to patients of Mon General Hospital and Health South Mountainview Rehabilitation Hospital through our hospitalist service. We also operate an outpatient clinic, MedBridge with plans to expand our outpatient care portfolio in the near-term.

Role Description

The Data Analyst Intern role at Sanjay Bharti MD, PLLC encompasses a broad range of business-critical responsibilities. The key deliverables for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating key financial and non-financial metrics that impact growth, profitability and achievement of strategic objectives while tracking and improving operational efficiency
  • Ownership of billing process workflow and software to ensure real-time revenue tracking and to improve efficiency
  • Performing ad hoc queries and design, prepare and distribute reports for C-suite / Partner review as well as local, state, and federal agencies on an as needed basis
  • Partnering with back-end functions / processes to develop a strategy for reporting best practices; working to optimize and streamline financial data management, eliminating duplication and errors
  • Tracking KPIs / metrics from different data sources (patient records, billing software etc.) and ability to use data to provide logical explanations for trends
  • Developing dashboards that provide timely, automated access to key performance metrics aligned with the strategic goals of the organization (transform data into usable business intelligence)
  • Working with C-suite / Partner(s) to define business requirements and translate conceptual ideas into actionable plans
  • Performing gap analysis and making recommendations to address the gaps; with minimal guidance, be able to propose creative and insightful solutions
  • Leading data acquisition, collection, corrections and entry as needed
  • Identifying conflicts and anomalies across databases at a high level and follow established procedures for making corrections; escalate issues when required for resolution
  • Developing scalable solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity
  • Presenting analytical results and data visualizations in a way that is meaningful for business stakeholders and provides actionable insights
  • Discovering new opportunities where advanced analytical techniques can be leveraged for solving business problems


  • BS/MS in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering)
  • Two to three years of work experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus


  • Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel – VLOOKUP, pivot tables, validations is a must; proficiency with SQL is preferred
  • Proficiency with visual analytics software; Microsoft Power BI and Tableau is a plus
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Ability to communicate with people of varying backgrounds and skillsets and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and with limited resources (experience in a start-up is preferred)
  • Genuine interest in healthcare industry (e.g. healthcare providers)
