Corporate Services Learning and Development is looking for a Remote Instructional Designer Intern. The team has a six-month internship for students studying Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field and are interested in being an active player in Transforming Learning at Intel. The right candidate will help update, design and develop learning and practicing experiences for technicians, engineers and supervisors at Intel’s largest manufacturing site.

As an Instructional Design Intern your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Create/update engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
  • Work closely with Senior Instructional Designers on the team to update current courses to the latest software.
  • Visualizing instructional graphics: create new and update older graphics used in learning materials.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
    Create /edit/update supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, web-based training, etc.)
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  • Analyze existing instructional material for mobile environment and updating to new software when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems via reported user issues and apply fixes when needed
  • This position is remote; however, on occasion the employee may be asked to attend an on-site meeting or event in our Arizona Site. No relocation will be offered **

    Qualifications

    This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.
  • The candidate must be a full-time student pursuing a Master’s degree in Instructional design or closely related field.
  • 1 year of experience or coursework in:
  • Instructional design or instructional technology.
  • Learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Knowledge of differing learning delivery methods (ILT, WBT, OJT, etc.) and when best to use them.
  • Software (Camtasia, Captivate, Articulate Storyline or equivalent) and at least one Learning Management System.
  • Visual design experience, creating and manipulating graphics, editing and creating videos. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Camtasia, or similar) with proven ability to storyboard.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with designing for adult learners.
