Neustar is in the process of expanding the capabilities of its automated pipeline that supports its Data Onboarding business. As part of this effort, we are continuing to add support for new platform integrations and enhancing existing ones. The engineer in this role will be responsible for building new integration code (both file-based and API-based) as well as making improvements to the existing integration codebase. New integrations often require implementing client-side APIs to support delivery of data as well as management of metadata. The engineer will also be responsible for creating new and improving existing unit and integration tests.
There will also be opportunities to work in a Big Data environment for supporting new pipeline workflows and generating statistics for reporting purposes.
- Implementation of client-side APIs.
- Improving existing integration code to better surface error information
- Generate statistics for reporting purposes
- In degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Ability to work in a Linux environment
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, Spark)
- Scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)
