Global Supply Chain Logistics is continuously looking to improve our processes, reduce costs/spend, reduce supply chain/supplier risk, and improve quality. The focus of this internship will include working with big data across multiple systems. The incumbent will have the opportunity to support the development and enhancement of our global supply chain control tower, information management system(s), to help with planning and implementing supply chain optimization project (global route planning,
asset tracking). They will lead or support the acquisition of global logistics information from one or more sources,synthesize complex data into simple visualizations,and enable the custodianship and distribution of that information to those who need it.
- Create processes and methods to
gather supply chain data
- Analyze data to identify problematic areas
and suggest improvements.
- Build or enhance dashboards to track KPIs
and report on supply chain performance
Supply Chain Management will sponsor projects that support these business objectives and act as the intern’s mentors. Interns will be responsible for developing a project charter, managing the schedule, meeting the deliverables of the project, providing regular status updates, and a formal report out at the end of the internship.
- In the process of obtaining a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Engineering.
- Overall GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- Previous internship experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Outlook, Teams, etc).
- SQL, Power BI, and/or Tableau experience
- Data analytics capabilities.
- Data modeling and visualization
- Information management
