Job Summary

The IT internship will provide you the opportunity to participate in significant IT projects that impact the strategy and performance of a leading medical device firm. Responsibilities may include but limited to understanding, executing and maintaining IT processes and standards by working as a team under minimal supervision. Providing customer-first support across all organizational levels in maintenance of IT assets for Zimmer Biomet. Proactively applying corporate policies to resolve and protect IT equipment with diligence and accuracy delivering results in an efficient manner

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Asset Management Intern is to perform the below combination of non-exhaustive duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Actively seek opportunities for learning and contribution within assigned area of responsibility
  • Embrace Zimmer Biomet values and lead by example in all tasks
  • Update and manage the corporate IT asset management database
  • Ensure IT capital equipment charges are allocated according to policy
  • Observe and gain input from coworkers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for performance of departmental duties
  • Understand and execute corporate IT defined processes and standards
  • Follow proper procedures to ensure Zimmer Biomet equipment is properly recycled or disposed
  • Work effectively across organizational levels providing customer-first technical support for key IT assets
  • Proactively enforce local and worldwide security policies ensuring IT assets are protected
  • Ability to lift/move technical equipment up to 20lb
  • Ability to operate vehicle to deliver equipment across campuses
  • Ability to work in an IT ticketing environment (ITSM)

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or Technical IT Certification is preferred
  • GPA of 3.2+ preferred
  • 1-2 years of work experience in IT (on- or off-campus) preferred
  • Driver’s License required

Travel Requirements
Up to 5% (within Warsaw, Indiana only)
