This co-op opportunity will allow candidates to learn and apply career building, cloud-based software skills as they navigate through the next-generation cloud implementation: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). OCI is a next generation Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that delivers high-performance computing power to run cloud native and enterprise company’s IT workloads. OCI provides real-time elasticity for enterprise applications like: Zoom, T-Mobile, FDNY, McDonald’s, TD Bank to name a few.
Who we are: We are Cloud Foundation Services (CFS) within the larger Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) organization. We are responsible for the development and verification of a highly available, highly scalable cloud platform that provides a secure operations stack and development environment for use by cloud native products. Our team provides domain agnostic services developed for cross-industry Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to enable reduced operating costs.
This organization is currently broken up into multiple teams creating an ecosystem of cloud development. All of these teams are looking for quality individuals to help them further their services. The focus of this opportunity is with the Software Delivery as a Service (SDaaS) team.
What we do: SDaaS provides continuous integration / continuous delivery for applications deployed into the Oracle cloud. CI/CD is a foundational component to modern cloud infrastructure and processes. SDaaS provides a consistent, fully automated, and traceable software release process for all delivery teams. SDaaS processes take source code from repositories through the entire deployment chain, from merge request to integration, security and compliance scans, unit / functional / feature testing, to full integration with zero human touch after launching the task. The SDaaS team is a fast paced, highly motivated team that embodies “We” rather than “I”. SDaaS is a geo-diverse team that allows it to quickly respond to customer engagements and challenges, and the team adapts quickly to incoming incidents while still delivering on committed features and enhancements. As part of the SDaaS team, the Writer/Editor works closely with teammates to produce partner-consumable documentation.
