Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, in a manufacturing environment, and have experience in various accounting software and ERP systems. This role will involve managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accountant will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

· Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
· Review income statements and ensure accurate transaction recording
· Support management with financial analysis, variance reviews and budget preparation and comparisons
· Support finance team at subsidiary locations
· Oversee Accounts payable team and Corporate Accountant
· Prepare and Monitor cash flow forecasts including AP Payments and ensuring prompt AR collections
· Analyzes manufacturing costs and prepares regular reports comparing standard to actual production costs
· Work with production teams to ensure accuracy of cost collection, sharing analysis for the improvement of the departments.
· Develop strong understanding of business processes and ERP system
· Prepares cost estimates of new products to support engineering and sales
· Prepare required reports for audits, lenders and regulatory compliance
· Assist with process improvements, internal controls and system enhancements
· Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned

Experience

Proven experience in accounting for a manufacturing company is required.
Knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial management is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
Experience with ERPs is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed account analysis and financial analysis. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity in all financial matters.
