疫情之下,留学生将迎来最另类求职季……

企业延迟复工、民众不能出门,正常招聘无法开展。

同时,中小企业以及餐饮、旅游等重线下行业面临生存危机,招聘需求缩减或消失。

这个春天,无论雇主、求职者还是招聘行业都是难熬的。

危机之中,有企业倒下,也有企业逆势扩张,更多企业选择积极转型自救。

疫情对每家企业和每个个体带来不同影响,对于身处其中的每个人而言,了解招聘市场当下现状,是应对“黑天鹅”、解决问题的前提。

从“面对面”到“屏对屏”,

疫情下招聘走向云时代

“云招聘”时代,企业纷纷出招,线上“抢人”,将线下活动转为线上的“Virtual Events”。

现在的应届毕业生拥有强大的互联网思维,与传统线下招聘相比,线上招聘更加年轻化,形式更加新颖。

同时,程序也更加简化。

有的企业,线上活动一结束,紧接着就是Super Day。不仅招聘时间大大提前,往日有五六轮之多的面试环节竟然也缩短到只剩一轮。

大家一定要抓住今年这个机会冲刺自己的dream offer呀!

求职机会多,不受地域的限制

今年的企业所举办的线上活动,对于大一大二的新生来说,机会最多,选择性最广;但是大三大四、研究生也有机会认识业内大佬,McKinsey甚至连博士都能参与进来。

Citi、Goldman Sachs、Morgan Stanley3家投行在几个地区都开放了申请,同学的选择受到区域限制更小了。

即使身处美国,也能同时申请亚太、加拿大、澳洲等多个地区的Virtual Event。而且有的地区竞争相对较小,机会更多,还不用你到处跑。

比如申请Goldman Sachs,可以一键投递美国、香港、大陆、新加坡等多个地区的Events,抛开地域限制,灵活求职,增加自己的成功率,最后根据申请结果来选择最心仪的offer。

对Non-target school同学非常友好

以往线下events,企业往往会优先去到target school,而non-target school的同学想进Goldman Sachs、Morgan Stanley等顶尖金融公司,大多机会渺茫。

不过改成线上以后,企业不用线下跑各大高校,节省了人力成本,同时网络规模更大,辐射地区更广,因而在人才筛选上就没有那么严格,基本上只要申请了就有机会,而获益最大的无疑是non-target school的同学。

活动内容没有本质的变化

虽然举办events的形式发生了变化,Virtual Coffee Chat听起来也有点奇妙,但其实活动内容并没有本质上的变化,仍然是公司大佬来介绍企业文化、工作内容、招聘岗位等信息,并为候选人提供职业路径的建议,所以线上也可以互动提问。

这一点,从各大公司官网公布的岗位详情就可以得知:

需要注意的是,这类Events一般只填写基础的个人信息,相较于网申,流程更简单。申请通过后,会在活动开始前收到公司以邮件发送的活动链接,只需在线参加即可。

参加Events是求职最重要的第一步,很多同学要么因为疫情放松了求职,要么觉得自己现在才大一大二,找工作还早,而且又改成了virtual,似乎就更没申请的必要了。但其实,所有年级的同学,都必须先参加Events,这才是求职的第一步!

而且,各大公司的招聘节奏并没有停止,反而因为面试流程简化还加快了录取速度。尤其是投行、咨询、资管,把求职时间线再度提前,不参加Events,就更别提后续申请了,所以屏幕前的大家一定要注意把握机会。

获得Fast track,直接进Superday

Virtual Events还藏着一个最大的彩蛋,就是加速你的求职进程。公司开展Virtual Events原本就是为储备人才,所以看到合适的candidate,直接就发offer了。

比如Credit Suisse在最新开放的2020 Asset Management Women’s Mentor Program中明确指出,Events结束紧跟着就是2021暑期实习的superday。

也就是说,如果你能通过Events拿到暑期实习的fast track,根本不用一轮一轮筛选,直接就进入终面环节!

只要进了superday,基本你的全职offer就稳了!像Credit Suisse这类喜欢招知根知底的候选人的公司,通过大三暑期实习拿return offer的概率高达90%。

四舍五入相当于,你在参加完events之后就直接拿到全职offer!
