高盛 VS Facebook?疫情下真实的Facebook是怎样的?(终)

疫情下,有关于Facebook的各类小道消息和新闻漫天飞。经济受疫情的影响,Uber、Airbnb大量裁员,所有人也都关注着Facebook的情况,Facebook会裁员吗?会减少招聘吗?营收情况是不是也大受影响?等等问题。

我作为Facebook现在职员工就从自身出发为大家分享一下“疫情下真实的Facebook”到底是怎么样的?

总体来说,在疫情里Facebook对待下属员工还是非常人性化和优待的。

Facebook目前没有因为疫情裁员,也没有hiring freeze,但因为最近有太多candidate(还有很多在疫情中受裁员影响的人)所以很多职位都被迅速填满。

公司在这个半年里给所有人取消了performance review,并给所有人的工作表现都评级为“超出预期”,但还是需要同事和老板写一些反馈。

在远程办公方面公司给予每个员工1000刀WFH set up的费用和网费报销,目前政策允许员工在家办公带年底。

这里就提到了“远程办公”最近非常热议的一个话题,想必很多同学们都多多少少听到一个“科技大厂鼓励永久在家办公”的消息,工作内部确实是有在讨论这个政策但具体实施却是有条例的。

目前twitter已经宣布员工可以永久在家办公,很多公司在远程办公上也一直在讨论并宣布新政策。

FB已经宣布今年下半年考虑开放一些永久性远程办公的职位,员工可以自己选择base办公地点,职位薪资会根据base地点来做相应调整。

因为new graduate和entry level(新员工)需要更多的training和support,所以这种永久远程办公的职位目前只考虑工作经验丰富的老员工。

同学们关心的另外一个话题:什么样的岗位或专业在疫情下受的影响最小?留学生在选择专业职业方向的时候的一些建议?

目前来看这次疫情对普遍大多数行业和公司都有一定冲击,对旅游业,服务业,交通行业等冲击比较大,对一些新兴远程办公及服务等冲击较小。

虽然这次很多公司挡住了第一波经济冲击,没有裁员,但是美国目前经济形势非常不好,而且每次经济危机都需要很久才能慢慢恢复(参考08年经济危机),很多公司在未来也很有可能会裁员或再次裁员,我们都要居安思危。

而且美国现在的移民政策非常紧张,随时都有可能发出更多限制。

在这种情况下,我们对应届毕业想在美就业的留学生的建议是尽量选择现金流较为稳定的大公司。

另外我们通过观察可以看到这次大裁员除了根据performance以外很多整组被端掉的都不是核心业务组,比如有marketing,operation等等,所以在求职的时候也要考虑所去的组在公司的位置。

现在国内发展也非常迅速,考虑回国就业也是很好的选择。

FB今年的实习生已经全部远程入职,实习按照往常来说秋招的时候会开始有明年summer的实习招聘,不过今年还是要再看形式来知道实习招聘是要怎么开展。

FB现在全职full-time的opening主要都是senior level的职位,entry level已经非常非常少了,目前像Software Engineer,Data Engineer还有一定的初中级职位开放。
