新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情成为全球大流行瘟疫，美国疫情蔓延全国50州。
在美国加强检测的情况下，新冠肺炎确诊人数也迅速增加，累计已增至逾3.5万例。
纽约州确诊数字突破1.6万，远远抛离最接近州病例多倍，成为美国疫情绝对重灾区。
美国总统特朗普宣布，华盛顿州为「重大灾区」，此前加州已是「重大灾区」。
另外，继加州以居家禁足令「封州」后，纽约州、伊利诺利州、新泽西州、康涅狄格州、路易斯安那州、俄亥俄州、特拉华州也跟随，美国3分1人口受到影响。
哥伦比亚大学研究人员使用《纽约时报》已知病例数据库和人口普查局交通数据推演疫情可能的发展趋势，他们得出的结论是：即使美国能将病毒传播速度减慢50%——这是一项艰巨的任务——在接下来的两个月中，仍有大约65万人会感染。
研究人员说，感染人数的增长是由症状轻微的感染者带动的，他们在不知道自己携带病毒时传播着病毒。研究人员估计，未检测到的感染病例数量是官方报告数量的11倍，这反映了美国在检测该病毒方面落后了多远。
当然，预测数字本身有其不确定性，随着美国采取其他措施控制暴发，数字也可能发生变化。

出门前
- 测量体温，并评估身体状况。
- 准备好一天需要的口罩、消毒湿纸巾、护目镜等。
- 建议穿亚麻类较粗糙的衣服
出门
- 正确佩戴一次性医疗口罩
- 尽量不乘坐大众运输工具，建议步行、骑车或乘坐私家车。
- 与人接触保持一公尺以上距离，避免在公共场所,长时间停留。
居家
- 勤用洗手乳或香皂流水洗手，并遵守洗手 7字诀(内、外、夹、弓、大、立、腕)。
- 使用消毒湿巾或75%酒精擦拭带出门的小物件，如手机、 钥匙等。
- 换下外出衣物，及时清洗，保持清洁。
- 室内保持通风和卫生清洁，避免多人聚会。
- 收取快递和信件前后均需洗手，并将快递和信件消毒。
- 维持居家整洁、勤开窗、定时消毒。
- 适量储备耳温枪、口罩、清洁消毒物品等。
- 防疫期间穿脱口罩前后做好手部消毒，废弃口罩放入夹链袋并丢入有盖垃圾桶。
- 每天2次使用75%酒精或含氯消毒水对垃圾桶进行消毒处理。
空调
- 中央空调系统风机盘管正常使用时，定期对送风口、 进行消毒。
- 中央空调新风系统正常使用时，若出现疫情，不要 停止风机运转，应在人员撤离后，封闭排风支管， 运行一段时间后关闭新风排风系统，同时进行消毒。
- 带回风的全空气系统，应把回风完全封闭，保证系统全新风进行。
就医
- 全程配戴医疗外科口罩。
- 避免乘坐大众运输工具。
- 避免前往人群密集场所。
- 选择定点医院。
- 配合相关调查，主动告知疾病流行地区的旅游史及居住史。
在疫情爆发期间，漂泊在外的留学生们实属不易，大家的安危也时刻牵动着万千家长的心。
