国际教育协会发布美国大学调查报告，大数据告诉你疫情如何影响留学生！

美国国际教育协会IIE于2020年五月份启动了一次关于COVID-19对美国高等校园的影响调查，主要针对于三个方向：

— COVID-19对美国高等校园生活的影响

— COVID-19对高等校园国际生的影响

— 2020年秋季及春季国际生招募情况以及建议

受访高等院校的疫情政策：

2020年4月16日对5月1日IIE对559家美国大学展开调查，其校园内共容纳519,456名国际学生，比第一次调查时的规模翻了一番。

•96％的校园活动已取消

•91％关闭了校园建筑和办公室

•88％的员工/教师取消了国际旅行

•82％的学校取消了学生的国际旅行

•77％的员工/教师取消了国内旅行

•54％的学校提供封闭的学生宿舍

99.5％的受访高等院校将面对面的课堂转向了远程/线上教学，而为了在此期间不间断学生指导；

96％的大学为学生们提供了线上课程或咨询时间；

51％的学校兼顾到其他时区的学生，提供异步学习的选项；

此外，超过74％的机构更改了其评分政策。

2020年春季滞留海外的国际生情况：

据《Open Doors》报道，国际学生占美国高等教育机构学生人数的5.5％。

而根据这次的调查，2020年春季有很大一部分留学生被滞留，根本无法返回美国。

据了解，在所有无法返校的学生中，绝大多数来自亚洲，包括中国（59％），印度（15％），日本（14％）和台湾地区（11％），但学院几乎100%的机构与学生们保持联系，进行了妥善的安排。

根据受访院校的反馈，各大院校提供超过80%的大学提供相关帮助，有关于签证、安全、健康等方面，帮助国际生们尽可能顺利的回到院校或保留学生身份。

为了能确保秋季能顺利开学，各大院校也采取了各类措施：

• 接受线上考试成绩

• 放弃某些标化考试成绩

• 接受线上申请

• 推迟申请截止日期

• 给被接受的学生发送入读指南

• 推迟接受offer的时间

• 学生可以延期入学

除此以外，部分高等院校也表示他们还可以免除申请费、录取费、延期费等，可以使学生更加灵活地申请和确认入学。

从目前来看至少16%的国际生表示无法来美国线下上课，42%的学生还没有具体确认是否能回国美国参与线下课堂，但大多数高校都给国际生们提供了在线入选的选项。

虽然疫情大流行期间的未知数很多很多，但风险和机遇一向并存，同学们可以利用好美国高等教育体系下的最新政策，以便于了解国际教育的最新趋势并作出正确的选择，也让留学生们客观、全面的自我评估后，停止焦虑，继续前进。
