2020年4月，全美非农就业人数下降了2000多万，失业率升高到14.7个百分点。
这些数据的变化显著体现了新冠大流行疫情以及美国社会的应对措施对经济的影响。

中小企业裁员速率下降，
大企业显疲态，缩小体量，保存实力
根据企业的经营规模来分类分析，小微企业就业减少6,005,000，占到减少总量的30%；中型企业减少5,269,000，占到减少总量的26%；大型企业减少8,963,000，占到减少总量的44%。
与三月相比，大型企业的就业由正转负，可见长期的疫情及其控制措施对经济整体的打击十分显著，连颇具实力的大型企业也有些扛不住了。一些大厂开始缩减体量以保存实力。

服务行业受疫情冲击最为显著
几乎在所有主要的行业，就业岗位都显著减少，尤其是休闲度假酒店行业。疫情对于不同行业的影响又大不相同。
我们大致可将所有非农就业分成产品生产类和服务提供类。

其中，产品生产类的企业就业减少了4,229,000，只占到了就业减少总量的20.8%，服务提供类的企业则减少了16,007,000，占到了就业减少总量的79.2%。
由此，我们可以看到，其实受疫情本身以及随之实行的“居家令”和“社交距离”等政策的影响，受损失最严重的还是服务提供类的企业。

留学生青睐的行业受损同样严重
跟留学生息息相关的行业，商业、金融和信息类。在三月这几个行业的失业人数还并没有那么多，但在四月的失业报告里失业人数呈现大幅度增长。
专业与商业类行业减少1,167,000
金融行业减少216,000
信息类行业减少309,000
而在疫情并没有明确何时结束之前，失业人数继续上涨是可以预测的。
其他行业贸易，运输与公用事业就业减少了3,440,000；教育与健康类就业减少了971,000；休闲度假与酒店类减少了8,607,000，而其他服务类的就业减少则占到了1,298,000。
不可避免地，疫情对经济的影响是长期的，恢复是需要时间的。
因此，近期想要找工作的同学们，应更多的关注产品生产类企业以及能够灵活转为线上形式的服务提供类企业。
