Job Description


Square is looking for an extraordinary Performance Marketing Manager to help drive new user growth through our Paid Search channel in our existing and expanding international markets. As a member of the Demand Generation team, you’ll oversee all paid search campaigns across our core payments business and SaaS products, while also representing the team by informing internal strategy and executing $XXM campaigns.


You Will

Manage a $XXM budget for SEM campaigns to bring in new sellers across all of Square’s products in international markets

Build a biannual strategic roadmap and quarterly tactical plan for Brand Search, NonBrand Search, and Shopping for each international market

Build a SEM acquisition program through partnerships with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams

Monitor quarterly budgets and pacing to achieve ROI targets

Manage quarterly and annual forecast and planning for SEM channels in each international market

Use a process of testing to prove hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations

Report weekly and monthly on channel metrics, goals, and other KPI’s.

Partner with our organic team to help promote growth in our overall acquisition efforts across both paid and organic channels

Research and utilize SEM industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategy


You Have



A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

5+ years of direct search campaign management experience

Experience working on SEM campaigns for international markets, including understanding market nuances when it comes to keyword, creative, and LP strategy

Experience with A/B testing creative assets and different bidding strategies

Adwords Certification

Experience with Web Tracking and Attribution and/or basic SQL a bonus
