A difficult fall recruiting season does not mean the job search is over. It means the next step needs to be more focused.

Start by diagnosing where the process broke down. Was the target list too narrow? Did the resume fail to match the roles? Were interviews exposing gaps in technical skills, communication, or storytelling?

Then rebuild with discipline. Refresh your target list, prioritize roles that are still hiring, strengthen one or two high-impact skills, restart networking, and create a weekly execution plan. The goal is not to apply everywhere. It is to recover with strategy.
