About the role:

MALKA is currently seeking a Human Resources Intern to work in a high-growth environment to support our multi-brand creative studio. We’re seeking a forward thinker who is willing to learn in a fast paced environment and gain experience in many different areas of Human Resources. The Human Resources Intern will be working closely with the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Coordinator. This position will be fully remote and unpaid/college credit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support New Hire On-boarding by coordinating pre hire paperwork collection
  • Assist with New Hire Orientations
  • Take notes in Weekly Hiring meetings and Weekly HR/Finance meetings
  • Assist with department projects, database management and internal audits
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources department in the areas of Benefits, Recruiting, On-Boarding
  • Assist with ensuring personnel files are complete and in compliance with funding and legal requirements
  • Research new laws and policies and provide regular updates to HR department
  • Assist with maintaining the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Portal
  • Assist with special HR projects and other tasks as assigned by HR Manager
  • Screen resumes, coordinate interviews and act as a line of communication for candidates
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in Human Resources
  • Exercise proper judgement in maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Great organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Resourceful
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors program
