Purpose Of The Position

Under general supervision, this position ensures the effective administration of inbound and outbound personnel, managing relevant contractual aspects in cooperation with the recognized headquarter interface. It also administers international Business Traveler processes as well as the international intern program.

Essential Functions

HR Business Partner for inbound personnel at MBUSI as well as outbound personnel on various Daimler assignments.
Supports various company efforts to manage EXPAT workforce strategy.
Provide HR support in all areas for inbouds and their family on a regular basis.
Conduct inbound orientation and training sessions.
Coordinate/ obtain appropriate work permits and visas for Germans and other foreign nationals to be employed at MBUSI as well as MBUSI Team Members traveling to foreign countries on business trips.
Business Partner to Visa and Immigration authorities and legal counsel in-house, outside Legal Counsel, as well as in respective foreign countries.
Ensure confidential treatment of personnel data.
Business Partner to the HQ and the “home country” regarding contractual relationships.
Business Partner to coordinate an effective recruitment process of inbound personnel.
Business Partner to partner school of the International Language Curriculum Tract (ILCT) program.
Assist and monitor global and foreign policies and actions that may impact operations and train the business accordingly.
Administer the International Internship program in regards to strategy, recruiting, on/off-boarding and budget.
Responsible for creating various ad-hoc reports, power point presentations and reporting to management.
Ensure internal and external audit compliance, ISO, inbound taxation, and ICoM audit, etc.
HR Support for special projects.
Responsible for benefit reporting in order to maintain tax compliance.
Coordinate MBUSI’s International Intern Program internally, including alignment of budget and requirements with department and management, alignment of resources and students, and coordination of placement, reviews, and evaluations.

Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years’ professional experience in the following area(s):
Human Resources, preferably in an international context.

Necessary Skills, Certifications, Etc .

Must be able to travel abroad
Must be fluent in German and English
Excellent communications and people skills
Must have cross-cultural skills
Possesses superior customer service skills
Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information
Capable of working and communicating effectively with professionals at all levels
Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally
Excellent Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
