Job Description Legal Assistants work within the In-House Counsel of IATC. The ideal candidate should be intelligent and personable, with the ability to draft correspondence, pleadings, declarations and motions. Assistants will acquire experience within a broad range of legal responsibilities; perfect for a pre-law student. The position is unpaid for a duration of 90 days; qualified candidates will be considered for paid positions.

Essential functions – Investigate the facts of a case – Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles – Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing systems – Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation – Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and legal forms – Help lawyers during meeting by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing transcripts – Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions – Presentation development and delivery; – Assist with preparation of conference speaking, webinars and podcasts; – Support the rest of the marketing team by preparing materials, such as articles, fact sheets, presentations, resource tools, and case studies; – Organizing evidence, preparing discovery and various types of documents – Draft forms and paperwork

Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a

combination of your school work/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: – Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin – Excellent organizational and time management skills – Attention to details – Flexible Work Schedule (available to work outside regular work hour such as weekends) – Applicants must have a legal right to work (CPT and OPT are fine) – Must have a bachelor’s degree or in the process of completing one. – Grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4-point scale. – Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Word and PowerPoint; – Must be able to work in office 3+ days/week (Anaheim California); – Familiarity with Mac OSX operating system

Preferred Qualifications: – Excellent organizational and time management skills – Solid experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; – Solid interpersonal communication, research and analytical skills; – Proactive problem-solving skills with a self-directed approach; – Ability to multitask and shift gear to perform different activities; – End-to-end project planning; – Ability to closely track projects and tasks to ensure on-time and high-quality deliverables. – Ability to work in a dynamic, cross functional, team orientated environment. – Attention to detail
