Key Responsibilities • Develop, optimize and perform cell-based assays to characterize the mechanism of action of anti-cancer compounds • Characterize cancer cell models from cell line and primary tumor tissues to be used in drug discovery and development • Proper maintenance of laboratory records, procedures and summaries of data • Perform laboratory experiments using modern molecular biology technologies and skills, and report data and suggest future work to management and project teams Basic qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years of hands on research experience in an industrial or academic setting. Title will be determined by the research capability and years of relevant experience • Proven ability to work independently and conduct experiments, troubleshoot, interpret and report data back to teams • Hands-on experience in maintaining mammalian cell cultures, cell manipulation (si/shRNA/CRISPR/pharmacologic treatment), and performing functional cell assays, including proliferation, cytotoxicity, differentiation and cytokine analyses • Experience with molecular biology and biochemistry assays including DNA/RNA/protein isolation, qPCR, Western blot analyses, ELISA, etc • Highly analytical mind, attention to detail, and organization skills are critical • Collaborative and proactive attitude • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Authorized to legally work in US
