About The Opportunity
Moat writes client-side and backend code to capture and processes terabytes of anonymous ad and internet usage data on billions of page-views per day. This data informs advertising strategy and pricing for top US websites, advertisers, and other ad tech companies.
Write code that measures anonymous ad performance and attention across millions of websites
Build systems that track advertising trends across the web
Fight fraudulent ad traffic by helping build new features and solutions
Architect technical integrations with the world’s top technology companies
Work in a full-stack situation where you will be able to implement both the client-side and backend changes
Work on a small agile team that has high collaboration and supports one another
Have high visibility into product decisions and be able to participate in the process
Won’t be doing UI/Design work
About You
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or strong training in programming
Good knowledge of vanilla JavaScript
Able to program in Python, Go or other languages is a plus
Experience with containers is a plus
Experience with object-oriented programming
Knowledgeable in programming best practices and design patterns
A passion for reusable, testable, performant and readable code
Familiarity with automated testing and their frameworks
Understanding of JavaScript performance tradeoffs and debugging tools
Able to work on full-stack solutions
Comfortable learning new technologies
Willing to collaborate with the team to come up with solutions to issues

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
