Our 20-week Software Engineer Training Program equips individuals with foundational software development skills and essential soft skills, crucial for today’s workforce. The program blends practical hands-on instruction, applied learning, on-the-job training, and technology job readiness skills to prepare Code Differently participants for diverse roles in technology.
Participants delve into full-stack software development, covering the principles of good code & system design, software development lifecycles and Scrum practices, software development tools, and research, analytical and problem solving skills. In addition, Professional Development & Career Readiness topics, including resume building, job search, interviewing techniques, and networking.
Led by experienced staff, the program includes lectures, coding exercises, group projects, and real-world project work to build a comprehensive skill set and a strong portfolio for future career opportunities.
Applicants Must:
- Be a current resident in the state of Delaware
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Be unemployed or underemployed earning low to moderate income
- Meet the program expectations and commitment
