Customer Analytics & Insights is a foundational pillar of growth at Tyson Foods and is linked closely to Sales, Marketing and Consumer-driven business decisions. WMT Analytics and Insights efforts are grounded in a deep understanding of Business Drivers, Shopper Behavior, competitive intelligence, foresight, innovation sizing, category forecasting, ROIs, Pricing dynamics and more. The position of Category Analytics Internship is a futuristic role within Tyson Foods’s Insights & Analytics Team. This role will help to strength the future bench strength of the Analytics team, provide business analytics to build brand foundations, influence planning, forecasting, innovation, and media development for driving business results.

Tyson Foods’s analytics team is recruiting for an Internship, someone who is eager to start their career in data assimilation for marketing & business planning, experience consumer closeness, and generate base business growth as well as elevating capabilities focused on real time analytics with marketing technology.

This role will require a thorough understanding of the elements of syndicated data (POS and panel), Scintilla, IRI, Nielsen, Kantar, Mintel etc. These tools will be used to analyze and interpret information that will help make business decisions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university required. Students seeking a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Digital, Analytics, or Agriculture-related degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous work experience, Demonstrated interest in insights, analytics, sales, etc
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including outlook, and basic understanding on internet.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: A successful candidate for an Intern position should possess the following: Be a motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others; ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem-solving skills; time management and multi-tasking abilities; and strong interpersonal skills.

Position-Specific Requirements: This internship is a summer role where candidates are expected to work in person full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer. This is a paid internship located at our Springdale, Arkansas World Headquarters.
