Key Responsibilities
- Design & Modeling: Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize, create, and refine 3D models and manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform calculations to ensure design accuracy and structural integrity.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Prototyping & Testing: Assist in designing and testing prototypes to validate engineering concepts and improve final designs.
- Collaboration: Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
- Process Documentation: Maintain detailed records of project development, including design iterations and revisions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program or related field.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, with experience in sheet metal and weldment designs preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
