Overview:

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking a recent college graduate (or someone seeking a career change) to join our growing Portfolio, Program, and Project Management (PM3) team as an Associate Product Owner/Business Analyst. As an Associate, you will learn the duties and responsibilities of various roles in an Agile/Scaled Agile IT development environment. You will be integrated in a team and support them with Project Management, Communications and Administrative functions as you develop the skills to work independently. Under the Associate Program, you may work on multiple teams learning their business processes and environment before being permanently assigned to a single team. You will be working alongside our clients on products and services within the Centers for Clinical Standards and Quality within CMS. You will be on the leading edge of building quality systems and lean/agile governance in the Healthcare Quality Information System arena.
What You’ll Do:

  • Assist our PMs and Communications Teams with daily operations
  • Schedule, attend and facilitate meetings, including notes and/or minutes
  • Update documentation repositories
  • Produce communications which may include plain language communications, Graphic Design and video development
  • Assist with program increment planning artifacts
  • Assist with development of programmatic information radiators such as strategic and product roadmaps
  • Participate in Agile/Scaled Agile Ceremonies
  • Participate in PI Planning
  • Develop subject matter expertise in your assigned program
  • Participate in provided training opportunities and obtain associated certifications
  • Participate in Tantus Communities of Practice

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, related field preferred
  • 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably as a requirements/business analyst. May substitute appropriate college internships or cooperative work programs
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business or program needs
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding/ interest in the healthcare/IT fields
